The Richmond Community Coalition hosted an open Town Hall meeting on June 22, 2015 to talk about options for attaining housing affordability in Richmond, BC while preserving neighbourhood character.

Bob Ransford, a communications and urban design specialist who focuses on complex urban development and land use challenges, led off with a presentation that includes the historical Richmond context, examples of innovation elsewhere and ideas on how Richmond neighbourhoods can flourish during a time of unprecedented land values.

A second speaker, Tsur Somerville, a UBC Associate Professor and well known commentator on real estate and development, joined us with his presentation on his ideas and research in to the real estate market.
