2016 Police Services Review

Sign up to receive RCCA updates:

Richmond City Council is currently considering two options for the delivery of policing in the city:

  • continue with the current service provided by the Richmond Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), or
  • establish an independent municipal police force.

In addition to online surveys, the City of Richmond held five public open houses to inform the public about policing options and to hear feedback. The period of consultation ended 29 February, 2016. Results from this public consultation are now posted online and have been presented to council.
