Richmond traffic has gotten out of control. People are stuck in traffic on their way to work, stuck in traffic on their way home, and stuck in traffic on their way to visit their children and grandchildren who have left Richmond in search of affordability. Current transportation planning is not keeping up with community planning. We need to change our approach to traffic before things reach a crisis level.
The Richmond Community Coalition pledges to implement a targeted Community Transportation Plan that gets people home to their families faster. We will identify key traffic bottlenecks for priority action to reduce wait times by 50% and we will push the provincial government to make Richmond transportation a funding priority.
